The fast frenetic arcade shooty action of Assualt Android Cactus has just been release for PS4. Coming from Brisbane-based studio Witch Beam the title was released last year on Steam where it quickly garnered attention for its visceral speed, intuitive controls, and hardcore arcade action. With this sort of game perfect for a controller, a couch, and a console its great to see the game finally out for PlayStation 4.

Check out the launch trailer.

One of the key aspects of the game, having a battery-meter that only recharges when you destroy enemy robots and loot their remains, is a simply yet rewarding one. It gives the game a sense of momentum and speed, which in addition to the controls and wonderful animation, make it one of the best 'twin-stick' shooters in a long time. Fan of the genre should definitely check it out.
