Assassin's Creed Unity's PC system requirements have been revealed by way of Intra Games (via NeoGAF), the Korean distributor of Ubisoft Korea, and the requirements will definitely spur some PC gamers to upgrade sooner rather than later.

One thing that stuck out almost instantly upon seeing the requirements was the hefty minimum NVIDIA GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 GPU at 2GB of memory. Being a next-gen only game those requirements shouldn't be too shocking, however it may catch some by surprise who were hoping to skate by on the bare minimum.

For CPU, Unity asks for at the very least an Intel Core i5-2500K @ 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz, with recommended suggesting Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz. RAM is also reaching high, with a minimum of 6GB, though recommended is 8GB or above. OS is also limited to Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1, and will only support 64-bit systems.

Assassin's Creed Unity hits PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One November 13th. See the full list below, and let us know in the comments on what parts you'll be needing to upgrade, or will you be heading the way of consoles?

not very good according to the rumour mill.

i guess it won't be running very well on PC either, judging by those specs.

This is why I prefer my console sometimes I don't need to keep updating my graphics card.

You don't need to keep updating your PC either if you're happy for it to just look like a console game. Bump it down to console-vision and you'll be right.

We are up to the nine series, I'm still running a 480 and enjoying most games on Ultra. I could only name a handful of games that push a 480 GTX (2009 card). 8gb of ram is the smallest amount you can buy... How is that a high spec? I'm still running a 7 year old Motherboard and I have 8gb of ram. Anyone who doesn't has some explaining to do for sure. Now that DDR4 is out it might be time to upgrade anyyway.

Also if you think back to the time the 360 and PS3 came out, there were huge leaps in graphics that required more frequent PC upgrades. It has plateaued over the last few years so now the new gen only games are coming you will probably need to upgrade anything older than 2 years.

This is lack of optimization which needs more VRAM to run
