Ubisoft has begun rolling out a patch for Assassin's Creed: Unity that has unlocked a variety of content that was previously locked behind both a companion mobile app and the Assassin's Creed Initiates website, meaning you won't have to fluff around with any external programs to unlock a chest standing right in front of you.
"Additionally, we will be unlocking all content exclusive to Initiates and the Companion App, including both blue and gold chests. Players can still progress on the Companion App, they just will no longer be required to complete content to unlock in-game chests," reads a
live update.
Launched last year alongside Unity's rocky release, the companion app for iOS and Android saw certain rewards in-game locked unless you used the app to unlock them. There was also in-game currency and costumes for protagonist Arno that were locked behind the digital gate, causing further frustration.
Patch 5 has been pushed across to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, however a PC patch is expected later today that will also include some various tweaks. What is included can be
