Ubisoft has just sent through a new trailer for Assassin's Creed Syndicate, this year's entry of the yearly iterating franchise. A lot has been shown of the world and characters, to date, but the story has been kept mostly under wraps. Until now.
Every time I see more of this game, I can't help but be reminded of the (fantastic) UK series Peaky Blinders. While Syndicate is set 50 years before Blinders, the influence is there, in a good way. Let's hope that Assassin's Creed Syndicate follows the Star Trek movie rule of old: every second entry is fantastic (Black Flag was great; Unity, less so).
Either way, Syndicate has enough new stuff on offer for me to be tempted. It's the first full-fledged Assassin's Creed game where Ubisoft Quebec gets first billing, and it leaps onto shelves on the 23rd of October for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
