Ubisoft has released a batch of new screenshots for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Rogue, showing us that the previous-gen isn't yet done with squeezing out all it can muster for pretty graphics.

With some quite large scenery thanks to its watery setting like past Assassin's Creed title Black Flag, Rogue is looking to be a decent extender in the shelf life of Ubisoft's open-world explorer. While next-gen and PC may be getting a more visually pleasing and tech-heavy upgrade with Unity, Ubisoft isn't shying away from trying to show us how much juice the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 still have left in them.

Check them out in action below or head over to the game page for more. Assassin's Creed: Rogue will be launching later this year for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

I hope they re-release a version of this down the track for XBone/PS4, cos I want to play it but I don't really want to buy it on a previous gen console. Loved the ship stuff in AC4 though, so I'd be all over more of that. Tbh, when I found out Unity doesn't have it, I kind of lost a lot of interest in it.
