The ancient Greek setting found in Assassin's Creed Odyssey led to one of the most memorable Creeds to date - with an epic sprawling tale that blended history, myth, and sci-fi in a way that felt fresh and exciting. And I'm not just saying that because of my last name.

But sure, I might be a little biased - Odyssey is hands down my favourite entry thanks in part to the excellent expansions that dove head-first into the afterlife, Greek Gods, and all manner of very cool things. The team at Ubi even managed to provide its own spin on the Atlantis myth.

Anyway, as per the head line the news here is fairly straight-forward - Assassin's Creed Odyssey now runs at 60fps across Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 via backwards compatibility. Which brings the performance in-line with the PC version running on a high-end GPU. So yeah, if you haven't played Assassin's Creed Odyssey yet, and are in possession of a fancy new console, be sure to check it out.
