To celebrate the launch of Assassin's Creed Odyssey next month Ubisoft Australia are bringing the Assassin’s Creed Challenge to Metcalfe Park, Sydney, on October 5 and 6. A full-sized parkour course designed to capture the look and feel of Ancient Greece as depicted in the game - offering six different challenges with each participant getting a limited edition Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Spartan Helmet.
And yes, it will include a 'Leap of Faith' which will be the final test or challenge - off a seven metre platform. No word yet if it will be into a giant pile of hay.
“An Assassin’s Creed Obstacle course has been one of the most sought after requests by not only the Assassin’s Creed Community, but all Australian gamers,” said Edward Fong, Managing Director at Ubisoft Australia. “We are extremely excited to be bringing the concept to life to celebrate the launch of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on October 5.”
Indeed, the game will also be playable on-site on Xbox One X consoles for those that choose to watch loved ones or friends take part in the challenge. And as an added bonus attendees will get the chance to win one of three custom Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Xbox One X Consoles across three categories: Best Photo, Best Video and Best Cosplay. With participants needing to upload their photo to Instagram with the hashtag #AssassinsCreedChallenge.
The Assassin’s Creed Challenge takes place on Friday, October 5, from 10 am – 5pm, and Saturday, October 6, from 9am – 5pm. For tickets (which are free) and additional info -
