In a recent
Ask Me Anything post on the popular site Reddit (thanks
Highdetails), Ubisoft staff members including Lead Game Designer Alex Hutchinson responded to various questions about the recently released Assassin's Creed 3 title, and just what to expect from the PC version of the game which has been delayed by a month.
According to the Ubisoft responses, the game will ship with "DX11 support for the PC version, so you’ll notice some significant increases in texture resolution (double-res in most cases, but quadruple in some), tesselation (which is like, the new DX11 hotness) and some other shader improvements" which is great news for the PC enthusiasts. The PC version will also be shipping with all current console patches, plus a special patch "ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible."
Assassin's Creed 3 is currently out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and will be arriving on November 23rd for PC and for the Wii U on the console's launch.

Hopefully the tessellation isn't a gimmick and used properly.
