In a recent Ask Me Anything post on the popular site Reddit (thanks Highdetails), Ubisoft staff members including Lead Game Designer Alex Hutchinson responded to various questions about the recently released Assassin's Creed 3 title, and just what to expect from the PC version of the game which has been delayed by a month.

According to the Ubisoft responses, the game will ship with "DX11 support for the PC version, so you’ll notice some significant increases in texture resolution (double-res in most cases, but quadruple in some), tesselation (which is like, the new DX11 hotness) and some other shader improvements" which is great news for the PC enthusiasts. The PC version will also be shipping with all current console patches, plus a special patch "ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible."

Assassin's Creed 3 is currently out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and will be arriving on November 23rd for PC and for the Wii U on the console's launch.

Hopefully it's a noticeable improvement. Anyone got any idea how much better textures were on previous AC games on PC than console?

Hopefully the tessellation isn't a gimmick and used properly.

Anyone know if they are planning on patching the cr
appy framerates for the PS3? Be nice to run through Boston without the gameworld coming to a grinding to a halt.

Iv'e played ac2 + expansions and they didn't seem like they would be drastically better looking over their console counterparts.

From reading the news post it should be a better with ac3 :D

Just installed AC: Brotherhood. Got it a while back on steam cheap. I liked AC1 and 2. Goddam mouse. Even at max sensitivity in game, and 1000DPI as default its still slow as f***. Seems there is some inbuilt mouse acceleration crap. Hopefully i can create a customer AC mouse profile with like 2000 or 3000 DPI but its a f*****g major flaw.
