And it will be available same day for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Mac, and Linux. This news comes after the popular survival game spent the last two years as an Early Access title. ARK: Survival Evolved will be getting both a digital and retail release.

For those that need a reminder ARK: Survival Evolved is a survival game where players awake stranded on a mysterious island. From there they need to hunt, harvest, craft, and build shelters in order to survive. Plus, tame and ride dinosaurs.

Several versions are planned for release including one that will include the Season Pass plus a Limited Collector's Edition that will include:

• A handcrafted leather-bound Explorer's Notebook, featuring the Dossiers of every in-game creature
  
• An official ARK necklace
  
• A cloth map of the ARK island
  
• A poster of the Studio Wildcard development team
  
• The official ARK: Survival Evolved soundtrack, recorded by the Philharmonia Orchestra
