Crytek's take on the lucrative free-to-play MOBA market is taking shape and the developer has given us the first look at in-game action over the weekend with the release of a new trailer.

Viewers are invited to "see some of history's most valiant heroes clash with notorious villains", which essentially means a bunch of public domain characters with Victorian English accents, including Red Riding Hood and Alice.

Beta registrations are open over at arenaoffate.com. Check out the trailer below.

Yep - the MOBA was never ever anything but a sub-standard form of the online RPG strategy game.

But a bunch of you idiots (a lot of you) got sucked in once or twice now they think it's a winning formula.

Same with all the sucky WoW style MMO's. If we want better games, we ought to stop buying the s*** ones they release now, otherwise they think it's the safest commercial bet, to just keep releasing the same old s*** on repeat.
