As we edge slowly close to the game's October launch, publisher SEGA have released another new promotional video for Alien: Isolation.
Alien: Isolation has been billed as a homage to the original 1979 Ridley Scott movie, rather than its more action oriented sequels, and it was recently revealed that the film's actors would be reprising their roles as voice actors in some downloable content levels announced as an exclusive bonus for pre-order customers.
The latest trailer features some of those actors, notably Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Ripley), Yaphet Kotto (Parker), Tom Skerritt (Dallas), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), and Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), looking 35 years older and talking about their involvement in the game.
Alien: Isolation is due on October 7th 2014 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
I can't wait for this to land. I threw $50US at the Steam pre-order... the dev diaries for this are awesome... can we kickstart a fund to buy these guys rights to make an Aliens game as a follow up?
(s***, even if this game doesn't translate well as an experience, the level of detail going into production and remaining truthful to the source material seems unparalleled [happy to be corrected; but cite your references...])
