In addition to the obligatory E3 2014 trailer, SEGA and Creative Assembly's horror-focused Alien licensed title Alien: Isolation has reportedly been tuned for native Oculus Rift virtual reality display support, on the PC at least.
The game's official Twitter feed boasts that the first person survival horror has prime placement among the games being demonstrated at the Oculus VR Booth at the E3 expo this week, suggesting that the developers at Creative Assembly have put in the extra effort to make their upcoming game VR friendly.
The fact that Alien: Isolation had already been designed with a very minimilistic user interface likely saved some time, as things like HUDs and crosshairs generally require adjustment for the head-mounted display. Watch the E3 trailer below.
Alien: Isolation is due on October 7 2014 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
Cool there are weapons and other humans, I'm assuming the player has snuck on board a ship heading to capture an Alien and the other humans being Wayland are trying to capture/kill the player so they can cover up etc.
This looks like it'll scare the piss out of me even without an occulus rift, I'm not sure my heart could take playing it while wearing a rift. Does the occulus handle the audio as well? Like does it have some kind of surround sound headset built into it?
