PC players are likely getting deep into the pages of Alan Wake's two week-long nightmare in the town of Bright Falls, but Xbox 360 owners, who have already been there, can now sink their teeth into some new Wake-related darkened shenanigans with Alan Wake's American Nightmare, exclusively on Microsoft's home console.

The game takes many familiar cues from Alan Wake, but focuses a little more on action than on delivering more Twin Peaks-inspired narrative, and even includes an obligatory "Horde Mode", for you to hone your skills in on. James "Jickle" O'Connor takes up review duties for this one. Click here for his full thoughts.

Top review, mate. I'm playing through it at the moment and have a goofy grin on my face simply because I love playing more Alan Wake. The cheesy tone of the game works really well. Also, the live-action stuff with Mr Scratch is cool... in a sinister kind of way.
