Age of Mythology was first released in 2002 over a decade ago, and today it seems this rather old school RTS is getting a new sprig of life with the announcement of an extended edition to launch on Steam.

Age of Mythology — The game that transports players to a time when heroes did battle with monsters of legend and the gods intervened in the affairs of mortals.

Use mythological creatures like Minotaurs and Cyclopes to bolster your armies' strength. Call upon the gods for assistance in flattening enemy towns with meteors or scatter opposing troops with lightning storms.

Similar to the recent Age of Empires 2 HD revision, Age of Mythology: Extended Edition will be receiving a handful of bells and whistles including Steam Workshop, improved rendering engine, Twitch TV integration, enhanced observer mode, native support for Win 7/8 and HD monitors.
