Yeah, Age of Empires IV has been officially announced by Microsoft. With no release date, all we know so far is that it's coming to Windows 10. And that Age of Empires is back in a big way, with the remastered Age of Empires: Definite Edition set to drop October 19. Paving the way for the same treatment for Age of Empires II and Age of Empires III.
With all-new 4K graphics, increased population limit, an expanded user interface, a re-orchestrated soundtrack, and improved path-finding (something that StarCraft: Remastered could have used), it looks pretty damn impressive in motion.
And with Microsoft also moving on to create Definitive Editions for Age of Empire II and Age of Empires III, the Age of Empires IV announcement is really, a more than welcome overload of AoE news.
We are also excited to announce that we are working with the fantastic team from Relic Entertainment to make this the best Age game yet! Stay tuned for more details, we cannot wait to tell you more.
Relic! Very cool. It's great to see this series back in a big way.
