Apologies for that headline. Also, a second apology if it took you a minute to make the Dragon Shout connection. Anyway, the big news for Xbox One X owners today is that the Enhanced patches for both Falluot 4 and Skyrim are out now. Bringing the resolution to 4K, with dynamic scaling, and improved god-ray lighting effects.
Plus bigger draw distances for both titles. Unfortunately, the updates don't include new 4K assets or improved textures - which is a shame. But after firing up Fallout 4 the end result seems to be a somewhat stable 4K 30 fps experience. And yes, it looks pretty awesome.
These two updates, plus previous ones for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Dishonored 2 and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, The Evil Within 2, and The Elder Scroll Online mean that Bethesda has put quite a bit of support behind the new Xbox One X.
Which means the next update on the cards will be for DOOM. Fingers crossed that gets an update that put the visuals on par with the PC running in Ultra. That would be awesome.
