Forever Skies from Poland-based Far From Home, the sandbox survival game set on a ravaged Earth in the future, is now available in demo form, the developer has announced. In addition to the demo drop, which is more than 40-minutes of playable game, a new trailer and a gameplay walkthrough have also been made available, all of which you can check out after the jump.
We've actually played a bit of this demo (you have us to thank for there being an option to invert), and can tell you confidently this is a survival game that nails the gameplay loop you crave in these sort of games, while also hinting at a much larger, more mysterious narrative to sink your teeth into, and a world full of disastrous wonder to explore. The demo is designed to give players a taste of the early game mechanics, basics of survival and of course getting off the ground and exploring a portion of the ecologically ravaged world in their airship. You're all also really lucky as the demo we were given access to was capped at 20-minutes, so trust us when we say that extra 25-minutes is like gold here. Our only tip -- make as much as you can before you embark from the first tower so as not to be beholden to the timer counting down. Check out a 20-minute gameplay walkthrough video embedded below if you can't spare a square as far as space goes for the download. Forever Skies is currently slated for Q2 in 2023 across PC and next-gen consoles. |
