Pre-orders for the "world's first 55-inch 1000R curved gaming screen" can now be placed and will run until October 23, Samsung has confirmed. The full Odyssey Ark goes on sale Australia wide from October 24 and among many standout features includes C***pit Mode, Samsung's Quantum Matrix tech and its own controller.

Who doesn't love a first of its kind sort of dealie? Samsung's steady foray into monitor dominance has been a consistent and enjoyable one, and while the price tag on the Odyssey Ark won't be for everyone, those who do pony up are likely in for something pretty unique.

The monitor's RRP in Australia is set at $4,499 dollarydoos.
