Looking to expand upon one of its key strengths with the original, developer Asobo Studio is firing on all visual cylinders in the latest trailer for A Plague Tale: Requiem -- sequel to the critically acclaimed original which saw sister and brother duo, Amicia and Hugo, outrunning the Black Death and swarms of rats in 14th century France. A period beset by death and decay and corruption at the highest order.

But beyond that visual upshot, the studio’s vision and storytelling also looks to be bolstered in new ways, as witnessed in the gameplay reveal that took place at The Game Awards.

And make no mistake, it does not look like the sun will forever shine in this sequel, so if you enjoy a good repeated kick in the dick feels, you can’t go past this now series to give you just that.

Check out the new gameplay trailer embedded above.
