In case you hadn't decided to help Humankind to some sort of better tomorrow (can't be any worse than what we're living through currently), SEGA has dropped a free demo for the game on Steam, Epic Game Store and the Microsoft Store, and it's available now.

And you'll get 100 turns of the game free as part of the demo, as well as be able to grab the full game for 20% off.

In the demo you get:

• 100 turns and three historical eras: Neolithic, Ancient, and Classical
  
• 14 different cultures to mix-and-match
  
• Customize your own avatar
  
• Design custom maps and share them with the community.

In addition to the demo, for those who already have the game, the studio released a new patch overnight "which will allow players to win (or lose...) the game on their own terms". This means you can your own custom endgame conditions.
