Out of the gate, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, is set to bask in the glory that is the Holiday release period, reigning on everyone else's parade and across all platforms -- PC (via the Rockstar Game Launcher), PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. And in case you didn't hear us, or Rockstar properly, this is with the Definitive Edition of this trilogy release.
Which is to say most other publishers should be trembling in fear because even just one of the triforce involved in this release is enough to tide over any level of gamer for at least the next few months. And yet here we are, with a release that includes three full Rockstar games arriving on all revealed platforms from November 11. Experience the games that started it all — introducing unprecedented freedom and immersion through three living, breathing worlds filled with hilarious action, rich, cinematic storytelling, classic characters, and unforgettable music. This is particularly good news for me, as I missed the boat on all three of these releases, with Grand Theft Auto IV marking my first true foray into Rockstar's urban open-world genius. In addition to all of the above, both editions of this release will rock services Game Pass and Play Now from November 11 and December 7, respectively. |
I am pretty keen on this, I have been thinking about a GTA: SA replay for a while - my favourite of all the GTA games, even though GTA5 was pretty close. This looks like a good opportunity to dust it off.
Any price guidance on this yet? |
Approx $90 pc and $100 consoles trog. The games will be missing several songs due to the licensing expiring.

As much as I love to roll my eyes at R*, Ninty and Bethesda rehashing old product, I didn't complete any of the major GTA games' storylines in their day. Every time I loaded one I'd end up on a rampage for a couple of hours rather than advancing the story which probably says too much about me.
Its worth a hunge to me to be able to catch up so to speak without enduring the low poly-ness. |
turns out to be re-made off mobile ports and is as big of a turd release as that sounds like it would be. riddled with bugs and somehow looks worse than the originals. gross money grab.

yup, read reviews before purchasing!

I've actually never played any of the 3D GTA games so I thought I might pick this up. I was heavy into the original GTA and GTA London. I'm kinda surprised Rockstar put out something this broken, especially after what happened with Cyberpunk last year. I'd hope they push back the physical release further until they fix the game (if that's on the cards) to avoid a massive day 1 patch. Probably won't happen though..... cause Christmas.
