The gunplay in this game is unmatched. The intensity is increased due to the risk of losing gear permanently. It's hardcore level reminiscent of the Ultima Online days.

I got it, its not really my thing though. The Devs should make a single player stalker like game instead, then Ill be all over that like a fly on cow s***.

So basically in Tarkov you can play as two different characters. Scavs and PMC.
Scavs are the AI enemy in each raid that spawn in waves throughout the time limited raid (usually 40-60 mins) and you can spawn into an existing game as a scav, with random gear and hunt down the player PMCs, along with friendly player scavs (though they arent always friendly)

The PMC is your main character, which you can load up from the main menu using the traders, and your stash. Playing as a scav, if you extract, you can add the gear into the stash your PMC can utilise.
You level up your traders by doing quests, gaining levels, and spending money with them. Which leads to better guns & gear.

So in this video i joined a game in progress, me as a scav with a lowly shotgun. I aim for the legs of these geared PMCs because shotguns don't penetrate armor. There was a big fight i managed to join at just the right time to clean up, and the loot they had was some of the best in the game.
And when you're that loaded with loot, the anxiety shoots up as you try to reach extract before getting picked off.

I think the devs intend on having an open beta sometime this year, so it's definitely worth checking out.
