No room for a table, move around a lot, etc. The problem is he wants to play FPS... not sure if any laptop would actually meet the need for a solid mouse + keyboard + desk. At least with single player game syou can get by with the trackpad. |
"Advice for a decent laptop for 1 to 1.5k"
"I'm new to all this i just really want a laptop i can run most games on a highish FPS and it last for 3+ years" You are going to have to be more specific. What games? what do you classify as highish FPS? What graphic detail level? Based off my interpretation I think your budget is too low, the minimum graphics card you would need is probably a 1060. Which puts the price at just under $2k. If you reduce the video card down to a 1050Ti you can get some $1-1.5k laptops. 15" with 1080P screen. |
Personally I'd never get a laptop for gaming, not as easy to upgrade than a desktop. I ummmed and arrghed about this for ages and ended up getting both. Initially I was looking at a high end laptop ~$3.5k. The decided that I didnt really need it, and looked at just getting a mid range one for about $2k. In the end I decided to get a $2k laptop and a $1.5k desktop. (technically I haven't got the desktop yet, aiming for Christmas) |
