Gaming laptop in Australia for $1000 - $1500.
u/Rudgie9320h
Total budget and country of purchase:

Australia, $1000+ can go as high as $1500 to find the right laptop ( Australian dollars )

Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications to your requirements for the money? Pick or include any that apply.

--I will mostly be browsing, gaming and watching videos. Will be indoors a lot but not having to be constantly on charge would be a plus.

How important is weight to you?

-Less weight is better but can ignore if everything else is perfect.

Which OS do you require? Windows, Linux, Mac.

-Windows

Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.

-around 15"

Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. If you have no requirements, put N/A.

-Mostly gaming on games such as; Witcher 3, Wow and various mmorpg

If you're gaming (leave blank if you put N/A above...), do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?

-high settings would be perfect. I don't want to notice the system struggling really.

** specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable business grade build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?**

-I want a laptop I can fall in love with, i will be using it a large amount of time.

Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.

Graphics, future proof and something that feels good are all major selling points ( a big battery would be good but will be indoors a lot so not a deal breaker )

the metaboxs' look pretty good, this particular model comes in at under your budgie

or you can config one until you're at a price you're good with if you have parts from another machine you can use in it to save some coin

if you want to destroy polygon's check out the Razer Stealth and Razer Core, it's above the budgie you specified and it's without GPU, and it's not even out yet

maybe the one only thing that would make it perfect would be to have a 2TB ssd for Steam games that also runs over thunderbolt or similar

2.5kg is pretty heavy. If you're ever going to want to be mobile get an ultrabook.
