I find the lack of consequences in GTA disturbing. Like, there's no real incentives to NOT just be a total d*** and run everyone over. Granted I haven't played GTA since it was a top down thing but I was kind of hoping your wanted level wouldn't just vanish once the cops stopped chasing you. But nope, soon as they lose sight of you you're in the clear.

I reckon it would be really annoying if the cops lingered too long. I like how you can either do the traditional run like hell mode or hide down alleys and behind stuff to elude them. Some cool tense moments can be had hiding down alleys watching the on-foot cops on the radar searching around for you.

For mine GTA V is nearly the perfect game. The story isn't going to win a Pulitzer but it got me involved and caring about the characters I played and interacted with. The shooting is top notch, the driving feels great. The character leveling system gives a good feeling of progression. Activities are plenty of fun. I especially love golf. It's a great course and some of the holes require strategic play to make your approach to the hole as efficient as possible. And my god, the first person mode is the bomb. Being eye-level as you stroll through the city is f*****g awesome. Mouse movement is slightly off though but since I upgraded feels better. I wish there were some better quality of life features though. Storing cars is a bit s***. I found a Roosevelt at the movie studios which is the only one I have seen in my 80ish hours of playing. I modded it to the wazoo and stored it in Michael's garage. One day I went to drive it and it was gone. That's a bit s***. I wish you could set your waking time as well. I also would have liked more building interiors.

My hope and dream is that they release a 'heaps of extra stuff' patch adding all of the cars from online into storymode and fleshing it out a bit more with more activities and stuff to do. That would just be the gravy however. The game is complete imo.

GTA V is far from a perfect game. So much time spent driving from one place to another and half the time when you're on your way to some quest on the other side of the map some s***** timed quest from one of your businesses pops up (don't waste money "investing" in that s*** by the way). While a lot of the quests/jobs are fun, none of the business quests are even remotely fun, seriously don't buy a business.

Not all the regular quests are fun either. I did some s***** fetch quest thing last night where you go around looking for pieces of a sub, took forever, was boring as s***, gave no f*****g reward and made me realise the whole place is an island with no mainland in sight despite supposedly being part of 'murica.

The cars really piss me off as well, you buy a car yet you have to drive out of your way to pick it up from your garage every time instead of using the s***** default vehicle and then they have that super awesome impound feature.

Golf is f*****g awesome tho. IMO this is the best GTA so far but it just needs a few convenience based features to make it less annoying like an auto-travel feature.

yeah all your points are valid, I did say nearly perfect. It's probably on par with F:NV for me. I'm going to be sinking some hours into this.

like an auto-travel feature.
It has this. Call a cab and they'll drive you anywhere on the map instantly.

Yeah that's fun, but then they just forget about you like it never happened. Would be nice if you reach a certain level then no matter where you go they come after you. So there's incentive to lay low and do things quietly rather than just go in guns blazing. Then again I always prefer the stealth option in nearly every game I play so maybe GTA isn't "my kind of game".

Yeah but that will result in inevitable death or capture.

I too would like more building interiors. Online is ok and all but I want more single player stuff too. Perhaps even a "Episodes from Liberty city" type thing or we get to play around in Yankton and do some things there.

Audi being banned on a car thread about a game that allows criminality is rather ironic still Audi is one of the nicest people and it's true sometimes under the pleasant facade lurks a hidden monster still i am going to go out on a limb and put my head on the chopping block to implore the President of AG to reinstate Audi i can vouch for his good character and in a moment of madness he made a single error of judgement look into you're heart and ask you're self if at one stage you haven't also done the very same thing!

I am also aware that it is a very difficult thing to put you're head on a chopping block and go out on a limb at the same time.

nah i think it was a calculated judgement to be a smart ass

there was no reason to make that post other than to show everyone he was playing a pirated copy of the game

I'm as upset as every one else to learn of Audi's delinquency.

But surely, a ban is not the answer!

Audi's piracy problem is way out of hand.

It would seem it is the opinion of the entire A G staff that Audi is criminally insane.

Speaking of piracy, has anyone just had their retail (yes retail as in physical media) just crash? I've heard it's an anti piracy thing but I bought it from JB, activated on rockstar social, but on that ciada or whatever mission, it just locks up. Is it an actual bug? Or have I been punished for daring to buy physical media?
