Hi, I am currently running to gtx980's in sli. I am looking at getting a gtx960 dedicated for PhysX. Would the benefits be worth the cost?

It would be more beneficial than just turning one of your 980's into a physx card, but that would be up to you. The problem is right now games aren't going balls to the walls with GPU requirements outside of a handful, which only require 4GB+ thanks to high textures.

I think that would be a waste of money.

"SLI and Crossfire can sometimes cause a phenomenon called micro stuttering" which i have just experienced with my two 660's in sli.

I initially did sli just to see if their was anything to be gained and at the moment a single 970 in the 16x slot will do the job and with Nvidia you can set the cpu for pysx.

Unless your mapping the human genome or contributing to folding home i can't see you're extra cards making any difference to you're gaming pleasure.
