Hey all, |
So you work for Animax Entertainment?
It's nice you got approval but it would of been nicer if you were clear about your intentions for gathering feedback. Ignoring that though, I don't like gaming on my phone, I don't have an iPhone on hand and the game doesn't look "amazing" enough to for me to pull one out of my draw, sign in with my apple ID and test it, So i checked out the website for the app, it has a google play icon, when I clicked on that it took me to the Google store but not to your app, that was annoying, but I forgave you instantly, I know that sometimes a broken link happens and I figured I could give you feedback on that via this forum. So I searched the google play store for Stick and Chick, and nothing came up, at first I thought I made a typo, So I tried again, still nothing. So I searched for your company and only these results appeared.... link I was pretty annoyed at this point, I'd wasted time trying to find your app to test for you, that I assumed would be on Google play based on the apps website (that's a fair assumption to make right?). Anyway, I'll still give you feedback on what I can see.... The screenshots used on the apple page would probably grab the attention of my 11 year old son. The art style looks interesting and well implemented. It probably hasn't been developed for my demographic ( I don't find hip hop culture that interesting to want a stick figured based game about it). Animax has a pretty nice portfolio link. So i'm curious why you would develop a game like this to sit next to your lineup of movie and tv affiliated interactive games? |
Hi groganus. Thank you for he honest feedback. It was not my intention to be surreptitious in any way, I have edited my original post to be more clear. It is not available on google play nor amazon and is only on the apple store at the present time.
We do projects across the entertainment space for clients as well as for ourselves so our output runs the gamut of genres and demographics. |
Hi groganus. Thank you for he honest feedback. It was not my intention to be surreptitious in any way, I have edited my original post to be more clear. It is not available on google play nor amazon and is only on the apple store at the present time. All good, It's my personal preference that when someone is obtaining feedback they are clear on why they are doing it. For me it produces an honest relationship between the customer and the developer but it ensures that I give the most accurate feedback I can, I hope you take my feedback as honestly and constructively as it was intended. The good thing about your efforts is that I discovered your company and have awareness of your brand and your portfolio which I am genuinely impressed by. I wish you had more of applications available on android as that is my platform of choice, at the same time I understand the intricacies of cross platform production and the split user base of android environment and the challenge that arise from developing in that area. Also just to clarify on my final question. I didn't mean any weirdness about it. I was genuinely curious about your operations. Some of the brands you've worked on are quite significant and I'm sure your very proud to have worked on them. This application is an interesting turn towards some of your previous work. I'm glad you have to freedom to do this type of work as well! Please update your post when it does become available on Android and i'll be sure to give it more time. Thanks for saving me my time groganus. Id rather read an ausgamers news post than click those links The game doesn't look too bad and is probably worth checking out if it's of minimal effort to yourself. Mobile dev is a tough market despite all the amazing success stories that trickle through sites like news.com.au . Dev's genuinely appreciate any feedback they can get, When an app first launches it has the tiniest amount of visibility so it's hard to figure out whats going on with it and if people actually like it. I've never published anything but I could imagine it to be like some kind of heartbreak to launch something and then to see very little interest in it, especially after sweating so much creativity and time into a project. On top of that the first few people to discover your app likely won't leave feedback, a lot of people will chuck down 1 star with out ever explaining why, This is the crazy up and down of development that can drive devs mad with confusion. All I'm saying is that when someone reaches out to get a bit of feedback, be it a company or a lonely little indie dev, try to make a small amount of effort to help em out. It will generally mean the world to them. |

my household is also entirely apple product free.
its f*****g awesome. |
Hey guys, it's been 6 years since my household became Apple free.
I'm doing great. /feels |
We had a mild case of Apple Infection here, despite my best attempts at vaccinations. Thankfully the disease has mostly passed and we will be rid of it in a couple weeks, once you get rid of the Apple disease you tend to be highly resistant to it in the future.
|
This is true. I try to vaccinate as many people as I can before the infection even hits them. The years of anquish after one contracts the disease, and sometimes it's very hard to get rid of once you have it.

So has the itchy ball sac started yet?
|
Chicken on a stick is delicious.
I had an apple for a snack between breakfast and smoko, I wanted to through the core at someone at work for not cleaning up after themselves. How many times can I yell at them before it is considered work place bullying? |
So has the itchy ball sac started yet? I knew it. |
my household is also entirely apple product free. I had to think, but I'm pretty sure other than an old ipod cable, (no ipod) I too am free!!! |
I too am free!!! Just like Mr Jobs! Opening the Duplo Lego My First Set container seemed to just get the better of the poor soul. :( |
