We have all the time in the world On Her Majesty's Secret Service:

I think this is the best Bond movie ever made, i saw it for the first time tonight and this tragedy moved me to tears and i think it was the music that ran quietly in the back ground until the scene in the video above and then it hit me like a train.

It is this type of pathos that has not been recreated in any of the later lollipop versions of James Bond really .

Do you mean he was the most photogenic? Bond is Bond the bananas in pajamas could be James Bond the movie Her Majesties didn't end with Bond giving the chick what for like most of the other movies.

Their was also no comedy which i blame Roger Moore for the (not funny) one liners that have crept into Bond have made the whole series farcical.

For me, Brosnan looks like the ideal James Bond. Sean Connery plays it well.

I watched a snippet of I'm a celebrity (no get me out of here) and some guy got covered in fcn filthy rats and i think i have seen trailers that include Ita Buttrose after all her bla bla bla about women's equality in her magazines it's only fitting that she strips and hops in a tub of rats.

You're right, zaraq. As much as I hate to say it, and be one of those people, but if you read the books you'll notice a far more human bond. One with far more fears of the hope of the wellbeing of whatever female he is working with at the time. One who is far less 'on top' of the situation than in the formulaic bond films of the last 30 years.
The 80s Bond films were the worst. It's almost a crime that they made Octopussy so lacklustre, considering what a unique and enthralling story it is.

Unpopular opinion time: I think the bond films would mostly have been better if they were all set in the year they were written, or set in a certain year that most emphasises the Bond image (a la Poirot)

yes On HMSS is an ok movie but casino royale was superb. they all brought a unique angle to the character. i did like bond being redefined with daniel craig as a "blunt instrument" more like he was intended in the books. moore and brosnan were too pretty.

can we all agree that the timothy dalton movies were forgettable?

Pretty sure you mean Baker, and yes. He was the best doctor ever.

Pretty sure he means Tom Baker too. Tom Baker was the 4th Doctor, Colin Baker was the 6th.

I'd never heard a real one until 1985 and I've never watched the movie. My lust was all about the styling from pictures..

Ahh yes of course.
I vaguely remember his number plates spinning around and changing.

How could I have forgotten that, *googles movie year*.........nevermind.

Yeah , it went Lambo, Ferrari, Porche, the rest.

Seems like there's too many supercars to choose from these days but the Bugatti Veyron seems to be the pinnacle as far as top speed goes.

I'd love to have a go in an Atom.

My dream car now is a AC cobra. I love small cars and the exhausts look awesome.
