With the launch of Destiny in Australia now behind us, a few people have been asking where exactly our review for Bungie's online FPS actually is. Well, the answer to that is Bungie and Activision decided to delay review copies until September 8th, meaning we would have to wait until the game's launch to actually play the game.

Servers are now live in Australia and a majority of the world, and as such our own Stephen Farrelly has jumped into the game to get his hands busy with being a Guardian. So, while we weren't able to get a review up as soon as the game launched, do expect one soon enough. While you wait, check out Bungie's own explanation on the matter below.

"From the beginning, we set out to make Destiny feel like more than bits on a drive. We wanted to build a place for players to visit — a place filled with luminous life. Without a vibrant population for the last safe city on Earth, and Guardians roaming the wild frontiers, Destiny is a shadow of what it should be. That’s not how we wanted to submit for review," the post stated.

"We explored several options to populate the world for reviewers. Our team estimates it would take thousands of gamers to ensure each potential public space in Destiny would be populated – that every activity would be accessible at all hours of the day and night. Where on Earth would we be able to find thousands of gamers?"

I've been watching a few streams and am still undecided on buying a PS4 for Destiny. My decision will be based on your review, AusGamers - no pressure ;p

It's because Ausgamers are still waiting for Bungie's cheque to clear.
