The name of Ubisoft's unannounced new Assassin's Creed game appears to have been outed by a slip up at Swiss online retailer World of Games, who erroneously posted a store listing for an Assassin's Creed Rogue on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The link has since been removed, but not before Google's Spiders had time to
spin their webs (thanks
Gematsu).
In addition to the new generation console targetted Assassin's Creed Unity, publisher Ubisoft has previously confirmed that it has a second Assassins Creed title currently in the works for the last-gen console crowd. Although no official announcements have yet been made, several reportedly leaked details about a project codenamed "Comet" have previously found their way online.
The most recent crop of rumours described Project Comet as a cross between Assassin's Creed 3, and the Freedom Cry expansion content for Assassin's Creed 4, with a 1758 North American setting, and the player character being a Templar named Shay. Perhaps the word Rogue in the new rumoured title suggests Shay's eventual rebellion from the authoritarian order.
