OK tech boys, this should be easy.

Look to be getting 100/40 NBN at my office on Thursday (woo!) with unlimited data. I want to store online backups at a reliable operator, have a few hundred gig to get up there.

Azure is a little exxy; ideas?

If you need to restore from backup what is an acceptable turnaround time?

http://aws.amazon.com/s3/pricing/

Glacier is amazingly cheap but it takes a few hours to get them to put your data online and retrieve your data.

S3 might be better for daily backups and glacier for older archives.

This is really for disaster recovery only, I have on-site USB backups for day to day s***.

A few hours in that context isn't a worry really.

Not sure on price but we use Shadowprotect at my work, and does a great job.

+1 for shadow protect. I've haven't used their official cloud services as they've only recently launched but we've been using corporate backup to do offsite shadow protect and they've been pretty good.

Yeah, when I attended one of storagecraft's seminars early last year, they were saying then it would be Sydney. Corporate backup's servers are located in Australia as well.

Glacier pricing seems to have lots of catches. Could make it 'expensive' depending no your circumstances.
