Hannibal Season 2
New season is out. Just watched the 1080p version in 5.1 sound. Holy f***!! I'm calling it now as best show on tv this year. Game of Thrones,Vikings, Justified, True Detective, House of Cards and The Walking Dead all can fight for second place ;)

Yes, one of the best shows of last year, and Season 2 is looking really good. Not sure how I'll go watching it week-week though since the story is pretty intense.

Hannibal is incredibly good and it honestly amazes me that its a network TV show. It still isn't as good as true detectives though :D
I guess they get away with being as artistic (check out some of the musings online about color as well as all the stuff their food advisor/stylist does) and philosophical by it being a cop show with Hannibal ? - because I dont understand how it can be popular among the big bang theory watching masses otherwise... it is so unlike the usual CSI s***. |

i found season one to be a bit distracted. the story wasn't coherent but this first episode of season 2 is showing a lot more potential. season one was almost likea prequel and this season 2 is where the show could easily have begun.

I started to watch Hannibal and then I heard it was cancelled so I gave up, I might revisit this now.

This show is excellent I'm surprised this thread isn't as popular as some of the other TV shows mentioned here. Nearly finished season 2 I'm up to ep 10. It's a seriously f***ed up but great show. The killings are gory as all hell but somewhat beautiful and artistic at the same time. I know that sounds sick but you have to watch to understand what I mean. And Hannibal what an amazing character. He sure knows how to cook up human organs to make you drool lol!

Question, this series is a prequel to silence of the lambs, Hannibal and Red Dragon? Yes, in terms of characters it borrowing from Red Dragon but I think they are breaking into their own storyline/timeline to be honest due to the deaths of certain characters who are alive in the movies set after this. |

Can't get into this show.. watched the first 3 episodes and having a different killer each week is really lame. Prefer stories that build over time. Does it get any better?

The different killers in each episode are just side story or used as metaphors for the core cast members, the whole first season does literally revolve and build around the killer from episode 1 |

I'm struggling to finish season 1, it started OK but lately is just kind of boring. When I start reaching for the iPad during a show than I know it's not holding my attention that well. I'll finish it off and start into S2 though as I've heard from a lot of people it picks up.
