I have been trying to obtain the new BF4 map codes for the Second Assult maps.
yes I am aware of www.ausgamers.com/features/read/3368477 but it is a waste of time, instead of putting up some encrypted garbage when if you know what there are simply put the codes up in full. I mean the support offered is limited and for those like me that dont like puzzels just put the full codes up so they can copied and pasted into the server files, or is it that you dont really know? |

so Iput this into the server file XP0_Metro ConquestLarge0 2 Restart the server and now I can play Seige of Shanghai Yes it works well.
My other server is runniong Oman set up through my map list in procon and I can do the same for the Oman server but if it restarts it defaults to the basic map pack starting with Seige of Shanghai Am I the only dumb bastard that is having this problem? |
After you typed your text into the %server:port%\admin\MapList.txt Server File, did you save and then restart?

For those still looking the naming convention in the support here is wrong
The maps are as follows XP0/Levels/MP_Subway/XP0_Metro XP0/Levels/MP_007/XP0_Caspian XP0/Levels/MP_012_Firestorm/XP0_Firestorm XP0/Levels/XP1_002_Oman/XP0_Oman The add your mode and round count at the end eg: XP0/Levels/MP_Subway/XP0_Metro RushLarge0 2 Also Ausgamers state to use CaptureTheFlag0 but this doesnt work for me but CTF0 does Hope this helps Jabbajaws77 www.blacklistedsociety.com |
For those still looking the naming convention in the support here is wrong He was referring to BF4 SA DLC maps :) Foxhound is correct with the names/mode round layout. There was a problem with the map rotations not reading correctly and defaulting to Siege or skipping maps. Cheers. |

What I posted are the map codes and in a format that the config will read The reason it shows the wrong map or skips to the wrong map is the naming they supplied is wrong and this defaults in a generic map list when there is an error in the wording or formatting Any how as long as he got it sorted Jabbajaws77 |

I have the SA maps in my config as: XP0_Oman ConquestLarge0 1 XP0_Metro ConquestLarge0 1 XP0_Firestorm ConquestLarge0 1 XP0_Caspian ConquestLarge0 1 All running fine and in order as set,yet the first day SA was released it would sometimes skip to the first map before completing the rotation. Seemed to be a common problem for alot of servers from different providers. Also the reading error where it would use the default map list. I had no idea they are now using the BF3 map codes and BF4 mixed together like you have posted. Tried both as below restart server back to basic map pack starting with seige

I am concidering closeing these servers and moving elsewhere How hard is it to set up 1 map on 1 f mode when there seem to be diffrent answers. All I want is the map code for Metro conquest Large that works after the server restarts, is that to much to ask |

Are you running a ProCon server at all by any chance? If so, this may be replacing your modified server maplist in GameCreate with one that you previously set which may be wrong in its values. I've also amended the Battlefield 4 Config article with the suggestions featured in here, thanks for those. |
No, it isnt if I restart the server the procon lists the defaults maps as I clear any map list before I make the config changes.
I have to then remove all of the default maps and replace it with the metro map then run the next round until metro shows up in procon. I set the procon to run the metro map on conquest large, there is no problem unless the game server restarts then the maps defualt to the originbal map pack so its not procon its the config file on the game server. |

Okay I've just applied changes to your maplist config file in GameCreate, restarted the server and it now seems to be playing on the correct maps (Oman and Metro) for your two servers. Let me know if there are any further issues.
For future reference, you will need to modify your MapList.txt in GameCreate > Files to contain the maps you want played on the server. ProCon can sometimes overwrite this file, though usually it keeps out of the way. |

To make GameCreate not overwrite the maplist, just head into your server manage page > files > MapList.txt and tick the "Write Once" box. That will instruct GameCreate to only overwrite the file if its changed in GameCreate, which it won't due to being changed in ProCon.
