Which is better for gaming?
I own a PS3 & PS4 & im wondering which of these TV's would be better for gaming? |

These are the only 2 TV's in my price range, I have done a lot of research to find these.. I did not mention Samsung, please post helpful/constructive posts
& LCD? I hope you mean LCD LED.. Please more detail & take my question seriously. |

If it comes down to those 2, why don't you read reviews about both of them and make a decision from there? I doubt anyone here has experience with those 2 TVs specifically.
Plasma should have great response times right? The only thing you have to be concerned with is burn in, room with lots of glare and higher power bill. I've also heard the MTBF is lower in plasma TVs. Dunno though. If you play a lot of games/watch movies that are dark (horror fps and s***), don't pay the electricity bill and have nice thick curtains you can use, the plasma is probs the way to go. The LED is probably OK as long as it's refresh/display latency is fast enough - go and read some reviews and look an manufacturer specifications. |

go the LED LCD. plasma are on their way out.
but Ticman's tip is a good one. why are you going 50"? is it in a lounge room? if not then a 40" is fine and for the same price you get the extras of internet connectivity and the associated bells and whistles. Sony Bravia is your other best option. Also check out The Good Guys if you have one. |

But you can't play all the games because they don't make all of them for pc or they are often a terrible port

My plasma is great for console games and moofies. Colors and picture look really nice and crisp. I haven't tried it for PC games though.

Don't buy a TV for the 100/200/600Hz capabilities if you're predominantly going to game on it. Those modes cause input lag.
The Teac seems the best for features. USB movie playback and USB recording could be useful to you. As for visual quality, there are good and bad plasmas, good and bad LCDs. You'll need to stand in front of it and see for yourself. |

This one I already own a 42" LCD, Im after a 50" & im not interested in paying extra for a smart TV/3D TV. Also check this one - in your price range: When your ready to sell your's. let me know :)
I thought the OP was clear "Which TV is better for gaming?" go the LED LCD. plasma are on their way out. Ticmans suggestion is $300 more expensive. Im not interested in bells & whistles, Not a fan of 3D TV & dont want a smart TV. Its in a bedroom, I own a 42" LCD but want to upgrade to something bigger with better picture quality. I have a little over $600 Christmas money & want to get in on these boxing day specials while I can. There's always Kogan. Here's their product range of TVs in the size you're after.
Kogan do have a reputation for their TVs failing and their after-market service being s*****. I bought a TV with them and the quality is fine and haven't had a problem. They seem like a good choice if you don't have a whole lot to spend. |

They seem like a good choice if you don't have a whole lot to spend. A lot of that has to do with the fact most people don't do a write up when things go well because that's what is expected. If my delivery is late or hasn't left for days after promised, I rip them a new one. But if the product arrives on time, I don't call saying "Hey! Your f*****g delivery is excellent c***!" - I won't call at all, like 99% of the transactions that take place in the world. Then add the Internet to that. When someone is pissed about a product/service, they don't call mum/grandma anymore. They make an account. Yep, serious business when people make accounts and post stuff. Typically people are too busy enjoying their working product to bother making accounts on websites to tell the world how great their purchasing experience was. (Sure, some do, but meh) |

When I look for a solution to a problem...online. Its always the thread that ends abruptly that has the answer in the last post. When ever a fix is provided the thread ends cos everyone has moved on/playing their game/couldnt give a f*** about saying thank-you. If the fix dosnt work tho, you can see the thread tails off into a meh meh ka-ka meh meh.. |

Halo - Meh, slow terrible shooter. Plenty of better, faster paced shooters on PC, some of which are even free. GTA - It'll come out eventually and be better. Your turn. |
