Any idea on when you guys will release procon hosting?
We are licensed, I'm working on it at the moment. Depending on the answers we get from ProCon, either "soon" or "very soon".
Good. I'd like to make away from our current procon host.
"Soon", we didn't get the answer I wanted from the ProCon peeps, so we have to do a bit of a workaround.
Is 'soon' before the end of the month, an early xmas pressy perhaps? :P
I'd be interested in this too. :D Any idea of what pricing we may be looking at?

I would imagine no more than $6 a month for one instance. That price is way to much when gameserver.com have it for $2 a server. Had 1 for 11 months with bf3 and had no drama with it. even getting a vps if there are a few server still cheaper |
Yeah I had 2 GameServers Procon layers for BF3 which for the most part were drama free. When I got this BF4 server I immediately got a GameServers Procon layer and had nothing but problems with it, constant disconnects, random stoppages. After they "fixed" it a few times, I gave up and am currently running a layer from home (but that's not ideal).
Also, I'm curious as how this will work, after-all, won't we need ftp access to the layer for plugins etc.? |
Jus ta bit of an update on this, we've got ProCon running on a test server and we should have more of an official status soon.
Hi, Am also wondering when the procon layer hosting will be setup through Ausgamers. Want to do it. I have 4 admins who need it.
I have my procon layer hosted in the UK, Problem is like the gameserver it is getting DDoS attacks all the time.
Short of paying 4 technicians to be available 24/7 it is getting to be a problem. With layer it has open ports so trying to stop the attacks is very problematic. That is why most shut down after a few months not enough income to support the service. |
yeah come on boys lets get this released
guys seriously? still no procon hosting?
It is something we've had to put on the back burner while we work on getting servers to a more functional level. Hopefully we can get an ETA to you guys ASAP but for now we sadly have no further information.
Hi Guys - any chance of moving this from the back burner to the front again??
Ausgamers is listed as a Procon authorised server provider. So the hold up doesn't appear to be with Procon.
