Ubisoft has an inconvenient habit of delaying the PC versions of their flagship titles a few weeks after they launch on the primary console platforms, but they also generally have a good amount of eye-candy tech on offer for patient desktop gamers.
Graphics card manufacturer Nvidia is well-placed to tout PC-centric features, offering bundles of its current hardware range that come packed with a few such titles, and today they've released a new video showing off some of the extras in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
Out November 19th, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag boasts stunning next-gen graphics and effects on PC, and includes NVIDIA technology like enhanced DirectX 11 Tessellation, NVIDIA HBAO+ Ambient Occlusion, NVIDIA Percentage-Closer Soft Shadows, NVIDIA-enhanced light rays, and NVIDIA TXAA anti-aliasing. For a preview, check out this demonstration of the game's next-gen graphics:
Its BS that PC versions always getting delayed, I wont be waiting an extra 3weeks to get this on PC. I will get it on PS3 and thats it. Maybe Ubisoft thinks they can make PC gamers go out and buy it on the console first and then buy it also on PC when its released. Well that aint happening.
@Murf Well, they've certainly half got you with your lack of patience then. Three weeks isn't that big a deal, and the fact that you'd be pay a bit less for more for the PC version... Well... I hope you can put aside the fanboyism and see the logic.
I'm personally sick of direct console ports that appear on the same day. Each to their own. Console version will be hugely inferior unless your computer sucks.
PC gaming is actually pretty strong at the moment.
There are so many indie titles, interesting, innovating indie titles available for PC.
Let the consoles have the big AAA budget rehashing of existing IP year after year. Meanwhile the PC has some exquisite gaming art available for it.
We may even be entering another golden age of gaming thanks to Kickstarter games coming out over the next couple of years coupled with steam greenlight and strong followings of youtube commentators like Yog's Cast that highlight some of the best indie games available.
Good times, stop whinging so hard that you miss it all.
