Google Talk / Hangout Messages Going to the Wrong Person
So I just received some random Google chat messages from someone which were clearly not intended for me - looked like he just messaged me by mistake. I sent him a reply, which he didn't seem to get.
A few minutes later my mum mentioned she was getting messages from me for someone else - then pasted two separate conversations I'd just had with two different people. This is the sort of thing that if someone told me about I'd assume they were doing something wrong, but having my mother paste me conversations that were never sent to her is some eye-openingly scary s***. So, something seems up with Google Chat / Hangouts. Beware! edit: this is a fresh new bug that was reported a couple hours ago on the official Google Hangout forum. |
