I just got rid of my '91 Corolla with blown head and oil seals, called up local wrecking company and they gave $50, some others give more if they dont have to drive as far or if decent condition. Also more if it has wheels.

but spook, it will be 8x less likely to need a part rebuilt
80x less likey to not need any welding for 8+ years
and petal will love it

(also about 8x safer, cheaper to run, and it's blue is the same blue all over the car)

so what you're saying is, the money spook spend on the service, was deducted from the purchase price, and that is it's new worth?
(i'm just guessing the $50 is cause the tank is full)

My man, this is the 2.3L sports version (SP23) not your standard 2L, stiffer suspension plus you get the lil extras like rims, spoiler, clear tail lights and indicators, foggies and it's auto so Petal will love it. AND it's the cooler hatch version and not your bloated sedan puff fish. These go for 10k plus!

yeah, hence the missing part. It was no slug but also when you fold the rear seat down you could carry heaps of s***. I miss that.

Not missing the lack of aircon though ever since getting the a/c fixed in my present car. Full auto climate control awwwww yissssssss.

Considering you never win with cars, evar, $2k in depreciation and servicing is pretty cheap for running a car for a year. There's plenty of people who think nothing of buying a $12k car, spending $600 on twice yearly servicing and then trading it in 3 years later for $5k.

Spook see if there are any scrap yards who will take it for raw materials.

My AE92 corolla was written off a few years ago, I managed to score $300 for its corpse just as 'metal'.
