Saints Row isn't known for taking things seriously, so it's hardly surprising to see one of the more serious moments of Saints Row: The Third was merely a clever rouse, as Volition and Deep Silver's latest trailer for Saints Row 4 hails the return of Johnny Gat.

While the exact details of Gat's resurrection are not explicitly revealed, he's naked in the video, and in some kind of elaborate, presumably alien, holding facility so feel free to draw your own conclusions.

Saints Row 4 was recently refused classification in Australia, but is expected to be resubmitted in a slightly modified form to appease the censors. The game is due on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in North America on August 20th 2013, Europe on August 23rd, was originally meant to arrive in Australia on August 22nd (and still is in New Zealand).
