Ubisoft has released a new trailer for this year's Assassin's Creed game, a fancy animated feature talking about pirates, and the golden age for plundering the high seas.

The year is 1715. In the Caribbean, desperate sailors with ideals of true freedom assemble to establish the Republic of Pirates. But far from idyllic, their life is brutal, filled with betrayal and debauchery. Here at last are their true stories.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is due on October 31st 2013 for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U, with a PlayStation 4 version also in production.
