I thought some of you might be interested in a giveway that KaboodleBox, a new cloud-based storage company headed by my brother, is doing. If you re-tweet a post on their Twitter before midnight tonight you'll go in the draw for one of their backup plans.

The backup plans are unlimited and normally goes for $14.95 per quarter or $49.95 a year. They also have a sync plan on offer which gives you 500GB space (can buy more if you want, up to 10TB) and goes for $29.95 per quarter or $99.95 a year. An all-in-one kit is also available.

Since this is a new business and you guys love to nit-pick it would be awesome if you could let them know of any criticism you have. You can check out the website here for more info.

This part is really lame:
If KaboodleBox hasn't seen a file on your hard disk for 30 days, the backup
in the cloud is deleted. This means that as long as your computer is on at
least once every 30 days, your files are protected forever!

Thanks for the feedback Greazy.

The idea of backup is to keep a mirror of your files in the cloud. If a file is removed from your computer then after 30 days it will be removed from the cloud, giving you 30 days to recover files should something go wrong. If you are looking to archive files in the cloud than KaboodleBox Sync is what you would need. With Sync you can choose to keep a copy on your local computer as well or to just leave it in the cloud and it will stay there as long as you hold a subscription.

Cool name and nice website but unfortunately with several TB of data to manage and a transfer allowance from Bigpond, such solutions are not viable for me.

Dropbox has a really cool feature called Ratpack, infinite undeletes/version retrieval. It's extra but a really cool feature.

KaboodleBox keeps the last 30 versions of files of both Backup and Sync files as standard. Keep in mind it's up to 5 times cheaper than Dropbox with a bunch of extra features!
