Yeah, I had to look it up. For anyone wondering, the Friends list and downloads list are in the home menu (when you press the home button). No idea why it doesn't have something on the front page.

Wii U games seem cheap to anyone else? They're regularly priced (no discount) at $60 in JB Hi-Fi, they're $60 in the USA according to the guys on the Wii U subreddit.

What gives? Not that I'm complaining (and its helped me spend money locally) but where's the AU tax?

Yeah, I grabbed that from the eShop on Christmas Eve, it's pretty awesome! That level with the aircraft carriers made me actually say "wow." Much harder than Mario Kart though, I've only come first a handful of times.

Parents in law have taken over my lounge room rendering my WiiU playing time to Sunday afternoon (after they leave).

By default the auto-shutdown thing is set to shut it down after it hasn't been used for an hour, so nothing out of the ordinary there. But yeah, the gamepad not finding the console is what my first one used to do :(

Theres been some reports of success with fixing that issue by re-syncing the gamepad though, so maybe power up the console and hit the sync button on it (twice, cos you need to press it twice to sync a gamepad) and go through the resyncing process. Other stuff I read said you might need to pull the battery to reset it, which is pretty easy and doesn't void warranty or anything, you just need one of those tiny watchmakers screwdrivers to take the screws out that hold the battery cover on.

Also, scribblenauts is pretty crazy fun, I dunno what the lastability will really be like and I've never played one before so its all new to me so that probably factors in too, but its insane how many obscure words it actually knows. So many times I was suprised when it actually understood and brought to life my crazy ideas. And just the way everything interacts in unexpected ways provides for a fair amount of amusement.

In an underwater level I was going to make a 'Hungry godzilla', just for the hell of it, but it didn't know godzilla (it doesn't seem to work too well with names and proper nouns) but it suggested gorilla instead, so I went with that and made a hungry robot gorilla. Went to drop it next to a fish thinking it'd eat the fish, but instead it got on the fish and rode the fish around the level, hunting down and eating everything else. Unexpectedly awesome.

Heh, I just left plenty of corpses right outside the safehouse door while playing ZombiU. I dunno how it works, does the most recent corpse show up in other people's games or the one with the best loot?

I was doing really good, had the same survivor through all the starting stuff, and the bit through the supermarket, etc, had a whole bunch of medkits and ammo and stuff collected, then I get back to the safehouse and a horde attacks it and my survivor with all the good s*** got chomped. Then the new guy I became got killed before I could loot the previous one, so all my good stuff was gone :(

Ended up dying like four times in that area just outside the safehouse trying to fight off the horde. Fun game though.

Heh, I did the exact same thing at that spot when I first played, Khel. I ended up wussing out and starting over though, I was too angry at myself for failing so hard. Managed to get through that attack alive on me second attempt, and I'm doing better. Still died twice so far though. :(
