UFO Productions has a film adaptation of the acclaimed THQ and Relic Entertainment game Company of Heroes in the works, and that film now has a trailer.

We're not quite sure why a game based on a theme already over-represented in film warranted a licensed movie treatment, but it appears to be a good enough excuse for another screen narrative focused on the 101st Airborne, and the movie apparently even stars Band of Brothers alum Neil McDonough.

A release date for the Company of Heroes movie is listed only as "coming soon". Watch the trailer below.

So they just stole the name of a game and turned it into a completely different story?
Reminds me a bit of Doom. What is the point of this, it's just another random WWII movie
why do they need to take the COH name?

Maybe it's a way for THQ to make money off the licensing of the film adaptation? I mean, even if the movie tanks they still get money from the licensing?

Agreed that it looks totally uninspired.

With Tom Sizemore and Neal McDonough it almost looks like they just took footage from Band of Brothers for the trailer.
Also looks like it has the actor who played the German officer that was beaten to death with a baseball bat by Donny in Inglourious Basterds.
