demon, do you have a quad?
involved with openpilot much? |
ara, yep, i've got 2 quadcopters... working on a 3rd :p
the 2 quads i currently run are controlled by the dji naza-m & the kk2.0 flight controllers. i am in the openpilot kickstarter dealie for the cc3d which will be the fc for my 3rd quadcopter. that's about the limit of my involvement so far with the openpilot project... plus reading the forums n downloading the cool free stuff like stl files for 3d printing & the like :) i've only been into it from april this year though so i'm pretty much a total noob. i spend more time in my workshop repairing crash damage than flying ;) the cool vids on youtube allow me to dream though.... |
cool, i have 2 quads with CC3D.
One is a little one with GPS+Bluetooth that i play with via nexus7, the other is a bigger one with FPV. I am also in the revo+oplink kickstarter. |
swoit! i've just started doing a bit of fpv with my dji quad as the naza in atti mode is very stable & noob friendly. it's a lot harder than i thought it would be though... i thought it'd be like playing a flight sim video game! heh ;)
nice one on the revo kickstarter! that should be a really nice fc from what i have read so far. also juz's video above ;D i'll shoot you a pm coz i need to nerd it up over the details ;] |
Love that second vid, demon.
I'm really keen on quads and multis as well, but so far haven't got around to building one. I've bookmarked this setup for the future: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1335765 |
interesting build pinky.. it's a bit of an odd idea to tilt 2 motors for increased yaw. quadcopters can yaw like mad & the gains for the fc can usually be tweaked to get the yaw speed you want. but i've never used that msp430 based fc so i could be totally wrong.
i made a h-quad out of wood from the design on flitetest.com.. very cheap & simple to make using the very cheap kk2.0 fc. it flew really nice for about 4 weeks then i smashed it into the ground at a good pace n wrecked the frame. i scavenged all the surviving electronics onto another frame & it's all good again :D i'm constantly amazed by the innovation of hobbyists though... check this video of a dude with an x-quad with servos controlling tilt on all for motors.. all controlled from a $20 fc! |
