Ahead of a live-streamed "Special Event" presented by Polish sister-companies CD Projekt RED and GOG.com, the beloved online distributor formerly known as Good Old Games has released a teaser video of their latest big surprise.
"How do you improve the unimprovable?" asks the trailer, followed by the GOG rep explaining that he has his entire GOG collection on a USB thumb drive, and questioning how they can make that better. The video them closes with the very suggestive statement "We took digital downloads, and made them analogue".
Are GOG planning on offering some method of obtaining physical copies of the classic games? Are giant cardboard boxes and floppy disks going to make a comeback? We hope not, but but our interest is certainly piqued.
The special event will be lived streamed on www.gog.com or www.facebook.com/gogcom on October 18th 18:00 GMT (4am October 19th Sydney time), at which time we also expect to find out more about CD Projekt RED's upcoming Cyberpunk RPG.
