I had this issue 6 months ago on my locked down IE at work, that's still a problem but I noticed this week that I have it here at home on Chrome too.
Please see screenie, I turned on sigs and profile pics for this, but it looks the same without them It's exactly as I described in the other thread: When i view a thread there's an additional empty grey column down the right hand side. it moves the reply buttons in one third of the inner grey column. The text window is the correct size (compared the the green background) but the text doesn't go in to the last third. The other annoying thing is the date/time of the post is all mashed together, so when an old thread gets bumped I think it's new :) |
Fine here with no sigs on. I have the QGL theme though. Try that?
Chrome too. When was the last time you upgraded chrome? Also OS? |
qgl theme Of course, it's the only way to roll. |
chrome recons it's up to date: 21.0.1180.83
Running win7, 24" monitor with browser open about half the screen width, though it's the same on full width browsing (how anyone does that i don't know). |
yeah running same version, 21.0.1180.83 with win 7, 24" dell monitor and its fine
|
I logged out of agn and control refreshed, hasn't fixed it
IE that I've never logged in on looks fine |
Clear your cache!
Enable the blue QGL theme green makes my eyes cry. |
I think it's punishing you for using that blinding white theme
|
Well, at least it looks good even though it's not werking properly.
8-) |
Clear your cache! Have you tried turning it off and then on again? /PayPal semi-automated help service |
What extensions do you use? Did you use adblock or anything similar to block an element accidentally?
|
I cleared the cache "from the beginning of time" and it hasn't fixed it :-(
So I've lost all my url history in the typing bar.. which is a good thing I guess I surf bareback, no adblock/flashblock and no extensions |
might sound silly restart ya computer
|
as much as I didn't want to, I rebooted and it did not fix it.
|
uninstall chrome including all your everythings, and then install it again? it's just chrome right now?
Do you run a proxy server? Clear it's cache. Edit: you don't lose much when you delete chrome if you turned on sync (which syncs your chrome on your pc with all the other chromes you own.. not good for work, but fine for my tablet and phone i case i need my porn bookmarks on the run :P) Edit: if you log out does it do the same thing? |
private browsing is the same
But it's not just my chrome here at home. My work PC running IE on win7 (as outlined in that original thread) is exactly the same. |
same ISP for both home & work? maybe a failed route or dns lookup? manually set DNS to use google's or something
|
same ISP for both home & work? maybe a failed route or dns lookup? manually set DNS to use google's or somethingyeh we're getting into really weird territory here. skythra's q is a good one - if you log out does it do the same thing? |
Yes I logged out at home and it didn't fix it.
The news is though, I'm back at work today and my work IE is fine now (logged in, QGL skin). I give up. |
