This the final production version of the Empulse. It now has Liquid Cooling and a 6 speed gearbox and clutch system which is unusual on an EV which are usually direct-drive.

Dowside is the the absurd cost of $17k USD

it does look pretty cool.
a lot better than he older brammo impulse which had sorta 60s styling.
i'd love to go for a ride on one to see how it feels.. but i highly doubt i'd be interested in buying one. too expensive for the relative performance & too long to take a full charge.

Do we have any electric chargers in Australia? Looks really good and something well worth the money for how much you would save.

At $17K you would the engine life span far exceeds the average for petrol engine bikes.

very nice,

I like the fact it has a gear box (useful) and with a 160ish k range would be a good commuter bike (i dont think not having a cord is much of a hassle as it would be with the car)

I couldn't imagine anything worse... something with a sports bike feel/speed but NO SOUND...

I imagine the first few riders will have a number of 'close encounters' with cars as it's difficult enough to be heard with stock exhausts on these days (I was nearly wiped off the road less than an hour ago for that very reason).

You rely on the sound of your bike to let people know you are there? F*** that.
