Crysis 3 might be set to take us on a futuristic ride through a post-apocalyptic Manhattan that has been reclaimed by nature, but Sony's Tokyo Jungle goes one further and features no humans in the Japanese metropolis at all.
It's been a while since we've heard anything about a potential Western release for the quirky Japanese-developed survival title, but the PlayStation 3 exclusive game is still supposedly on track for its June 2012 launch in Japan and J-blog Andriasang has some amusing new screenshots.
The Pomeranian chapter is called "Pet Dog: Survival Debut." Our hero suddenly finds that he no longer has a master. Realizing that he can no longer live as a pet, and that his food supply is dwindling, he heads off on a journey into the jungle... the Tokyo Jungle.
You read correctly. As the player you get to step into the paws of various animals to hunt or be hunted in the wastelands of Shibuya. Also, there are dinosaurs. Click over to Andriasang for a summary of the new images or watch the recent trailer below to see the game in action. Please Sony, hurry up and bring this one to SCEE territories.
I thought I had had more to drink than I have tonight when watching that video.
Also, what the hell is up with the HUD in Crysis 3? It bounces along when the player is in 3rd person mode, as if being viewed in Samus' helmet. That is f*****g stupid.
