The free-roaming GTA-style elements of LA Noire are nothing terribly new, but in keeping true to the film-noire genre Rockstar's next offering has some much more innovative detective mechanics driving the game's narrative.

Today's video focuses on the game's investigation and interrogation gameplay, describing how players will "search crime scenes, interact with possible clues and question witnesses and suspects in order to solve crimes".

Check it out below or click here for the HD option.

LA Noire is developed by Sydney-based Rockstar-subsidiary Team Bondi and is due on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on May 20th 2011.
