Mortal Kombat Trailer Explains The Challenge Tower

The fate of the game's Australian release remains undetermined, but the rest of the world won't stop without us and a new trailer for Mortal Kombat has found its way online. In the latest clip, some of the NetherRealm Studios developers give us an overview of the game's Challenge Tower mode which consists of 300 levels of challenges with some very innovative new concepts to spice up the fighting game formula a bit.

So awesome, looks like its really going back to the roots of what made MK so awesome, even with the "test your might" and stuff from the first game, and the crazy MK sense of humour. I was laughing when their arms just spontaneously broke off at the start of one of the fights.

Also, retro scorpion and sub-zero ftw.

Oh, and the demo is apparently coming out as a PS3 exclusive on March 8th for people who the Playstation Plus thing (in the US and EU anyway, dunno if we'll get it).

Comes out for everyone the week after that though, so if you have a US or UK ps3 account you'll be able to download it then.

Didn't want to make another thread for it, but theres an epic 20 minute interview with Ed Boon on Gamespot that shows heaps of new footage of the game (and another character I didn't know was in it, Ermac), as well as talks a lot about whats going to be in the game and where its coming from and all that good s***. Check it out if you got 20 minutes to kill.
